John has been supporting the Negev Bedouin, and in particular Nuri el-Okbi, in the development of what promises to be Israel’s Mabo case.  It was the subject of an SBS Dateline Documentary – Israel’s Mabo – first aired on 27 March 2011, and available here:

John has also contributed a chapter on ‘Applying an Australian Native Title Framework to Bedouin Property‘ in Indigenous (In)Justice: Human Rights Law and Bedouin Arabs in the Naqab/Negev (eds. Amara, Abu-Saad & Yiftachel), published by Harvard University Press in February 2013.
